Use this LED snap-frame size guide to match your poster, finished frame and visible image area, then replace graphics correctly.
Art Light Direct stocks six common graphic sizes in Los Angeles. The graphic size is the poster size that fits the frame. Frames ship in 1–2 business days, with no minimum order; bulk and distributor pricing is available.
How the dimensions are measured
- OD (outside dimension): the full outside width and height of the frame.
- GFX (graphic size): the poster size inserted into the frame.
- VW (viewable window): the portion of the graphic visible after the frame edges cover the perimeter.
The frame is approximately 5/8 inch thick with a 1-inch face profile. The outside dimension is 7/8 inch larger than the graphic on each overall dimension. The graphic is 1-1/8 inches larger than the viewable window on each overall dimension.

Choosing and replacing the graphic
- Choose a poster whose finished size matches the listed graphic size.
- Open the snap-frame rails around the perimeter.
- Remove the protective cover and existing graphic.
- Position the new graphic squarely in the frame.
- Replace the cover and close each rail securely.
Backlit film provides the strongest, most even illuminated result. We can print the backlit graphic for you. The frame also works with your own paper poster, although paper generally transmits less light.
Mounting and orientation
Each frame includes keyhole mounting brackets and can be mounted in portrait or landscape orientation. The power cable exits from the back near a corner, so plan clearance and cable routing before mounting. Stock models are intended for indoor use; custom outdoor models are available.
Power, switching and dimming
- 110V input with a UL-listed power supply.
- 12V low-voltage output to the lightbox.
- No on/off switch is built into the frame.
- Optional switches, dimmers and smart controllers are available.
- You may also use a compatible 12V low-voltage dimmer.
Ordering checklist
- Confirm the graphic size, not only the outside frame size.
- Choose black or silver finish.
- Select portrait or landscape orientation.
- Decide whether you need backlit-film printing.
- Plan the outlet, cable path and any switch or dimmer.
