The Project Goal
The display needed to make the NAM29 identity immediately recognizable in a busy event environment. Large letterforms created the visual scale, while the illuminated blue outlines kept every character defined against the colorful Atlanta backdrop and in low ambient light.
Because the installation was positioned on the event floor rather than mounted to a wall, the design also required a practical freestanding support concept. The engineering drawings and three-dimensional rendering helped establish the letter proportions, depth, and base arrangement before fabrication.
Custom Illuminated Event Letters: Technical Planning
The production drawing documents the NAM29 letter faces, illuminated outline paths, side construction, individual support positions, and an overall letter depth of approximately two feet.
Freestanding Support Concept
A three-dimensional rendering was used to visualize how each dimensional letter would connect to wide floor bases. This stage helped communicate the relationship between the letter body and support structure while keeping the display independent of the venue backdrop.
The Finished Display
